Since 2007, AIL has had its own news service, allowing member channels to share an average of 45,000 news stories annually and hundreds of live broadcasts of significant global events.

As part of the shared services strategy, AIL’s 22 stations are permanently connected, enabling live broadcasts of breaking news, significant events, and high-profile news in the highest quality.
Additionally, AIL stations are permanently connected with Voice of America (VOA) and the ENEX news agency, which represents more than 50 channels worldwide.

Resource sharing
The 22 television stations that make up AIL have agreed to share their human and technical resources to cover news requested on demand by member channels, free of charge. Resource sharing represents significant savings in production costs related to covering news across different countries in the continent.

As part of AIL’s information service, the organization conducts special operations to cover major globally significant news, personalized for each station in the Alliance.
Throughout its operational years, AIL has conducted various special coverages, such as Pope Francis’ visit to Sao Paulo, US elections, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and the anniversary of the first year of the war in Ukraine.

AIL has established cooperation agreements with other organizations worldwide, contributing news to the information service, enabling AIL stations to deliver globalized information.
World correspondents
This team of individuals is responsible for ensuring that all allied channels contribute the main news from their respective countries and facilitates the acquisition of news content from different regions of the world.
